The Virginia DOF Tree Owners Manual provides guidance for selecting, locating, planting and establishing the replacement trees offered as bounty rewards under the program. The Native Trees Description document contains more detailed information on the native trees that are being offered as bounty.

The Virginia Department of Forestry is donating the following species of Virginia native trees:

• Serviceberries

• River birch

• Red Bud

• Flowering Dogwood

• Sweet Bay Magnolia

• Black Gum

You may select ONE (1) native tree for each Bradford Pear you remove from your property up to a maximum of 3 trees.  We will attempt to honor your selections as long as supplies last.
